Advanced Technology

Here at Beaufort Dental, we are committed to the continual advancement of our knowledge and staying current on the latest treatment options; that way, our patients can enjoy the best dental experience possible. We aim for continuous improvement at all levels, including the technology we use in our office.

By utilizing the latest technology, we are able to provide our patients with more speed, accuracy, and convenience while prioritizing patient comfort. Read below to find out more about our cutting-edge technology and what it can do for you during your next visit!

Digital X-rays

Digital x-rays are a great asset in our office due to their ability to produce crystal-clear imaging faster than ever before. Not only that, but they are also much safer for patients; digital x-rays produce up to 80% less radiation than traditional style radiographs.

Using digital x-rays, we are able to quickly recognize the existence of decay in hidden areas of the mouth, tooth infection, bone loss, weakened enamel, and more!

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a diagnostic device that allows us to view the mouth in a way that was not feasible only a few years ago. Thanks to advancements in technology, this tool allows you as a patient to get a view inside your mouth from the dentist’s perspective!

The intraoral camera gives us the ability to view the entire mouth at a much larger scale in order to get a closer look at any potential issues. This imaging can also be used to develop digital impressions for creating crowns, bridges, or Invisalign aligners.

Images captured by the intraoral camera are a great resource for patient education or for gaining procedure acceptance from insurance companies.

CEREC

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic) is an advanced tool utilized by dental professionals to create restorations and aesthetic additions for your smile, such as dental crowns and veneers.

Beaufort Dental is proud to use a CEREC machine in order to streamline many procedures for our patients. By implementing this technology, we can make a single appointment out of what would normally require multiple visits!

DIAGNOdent

Diagnodent is a handheld tool that is used to scan your teeth. Our dentists use this tool to help find cavities that can sometimes be missed on x-rays or may not be visible during an exam.

The handheld pen uses laser technology to measure the density of tooth enamel and can assist our dental experts in diagnosing cavities in the earliest stages. When caught early enough, this tool may allow you to reverse the development of cavities by the use of fluoride treatment.
